Daily Prompt 23 Saturday March

What is your favorite type of weather?

I don’t have a favorite type of weather. I enjoy the emergence of Spring when it starts to warm up again and the cold is behind us. Summer brings a guarantee of warm sunny days. I like waking up in the morning and it being warm, it energized me. That being said I don’t like humidity or bright glaring sun. I enjoy laying in bed and listening to and watching a strong storm flashing across the sky. Rain is so soothing to hear. Fall is a great time as it gets cooler and we get a break from the heat of the summer. I don’t like winter , the cold wind and snow are not my favorites at all. I try to stay cuddled up in a blanket with books and tea. Unfortunately I still do need to go outside in winter β˜ƒοΈ ❄️

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

That would for sure be my grandmother, Hazel. She was so kind and patient and listened to what I had to say.

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Me being silly at BK this past Fall

A compliment I received recently is that I don’t look old enough to have a son in his early 30’s.

When my children were younger I was always appreciative of the compliment that my children were well behaved.

Daily Prompt 17 March Happy St. Patrick’s Day

You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

You wouldn’t get me on an airplane even if it was the quickest route there. The rural area I live in doesn’t offer train service. I know train travel is pretty popular in the UK but I’m not there. I’ve done long distance travel on Greyhound. Not pleasant. A bike would be way too dangerous on interstates whether it was notarized or not. I guess car travel is what is left which I enjoy traveling long distances in.

How would you rate your confidence level?

Some of these questions really need to be rephrased. Confidence level for what? Some things I’m 100 % confident in. Other things I’m not as confident about but I believe I could raise my confidence level with a little work.

What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

I really try to avoid negativity in the people I’m around and in myself. One thing about negativity is it has a snowball effect. If you’re feeling negative you can do easily bring others down too and I really don’t want to do that. If I’m feeling negative thoughts though I take it into prayer and I like to go off by myself because I don’t want to bring others down. Reading, sleeping and hearing the water rushing over the rocks is a wonderful calming method . Also my husband, talking to him cheers me up and gets rid of the negativity.
