A Copenhagen Snowmance: A warm and cosy festive romance for fans of second chance and Christmas rom-coms

385 pages Publisher One More Chapter Publication date October 10, 2025

ABOUT THE BOOK

❄️❄️❄️

She only packed for a flying visit. Now she’s stuck with no flights, no hotel and no plan B.

Anna Lundholm was only supposed to be in Copenhagen for a few hours. Just long enough to tie up some loose ends, grab one of the city’s famous hot dogs and be on her way. No stops, no distractions, no goodbyes.

Until a snowstorm grounds her flight.

With the beautiful city at a snowy standstill, Anna turns to Jamie – a gorgeous Scot with an open door and a raised eyebrow.

Could Copenhagen work its magic one more time?

❄️❄️❄️

Snowman with carrot nose, button eyes, red scarf, and black hat in snowy forest
A cheerful snowman stands in a snowy forest wearing a red scarf and black hat.

MY THOUGHTS

Being that this took place in Copenhagen I loved all the Danish bits and dialogue from foods to the snowy setting it was very realistic.
This romance is the enemies to lovers/fake dating kind of thing.
It is a bit different than the typical romance, who knew being stranded in the cold could lead to a romance but it’s exactly what happens.
The past will always be with you no matter how much you try to put it behind you and our characters seem to finally realize that and come to grips with dealing with it.
Enjoyed the characters and the setting. I especially enjoyed the setting it was so descriptive, the mounds of snow sound like so much fun.
The Christmas story was festive and a quick read for me.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

❤️ Found family

Welcome to Port Berry, where love and Christmas miracles are just around the corner.

Alice Dipple is determined to make her first Christmas running Port Berry’s Seaview B&B a success.

But when her childhood best friend, Jamie Stark, returns after years away, the Christmas season suddenly feels a little brighter — and a lot more complicated.

Jamie was once the love of Alice’s life, until a dreadful mistake tore them apart. He’s returned to Port Berry for a fresh start, and hoping to win back the woman he’s never stopped loving.

Alice is focused on her business. But as she and Jamie are drawn back together by the cosy charm of the B&B, the warmth of the community, and their shared history, she begins to wonder if there’s a second chance for them after all.

But just when it seems like Christmas could bring them their new beginning, Jamie’s troubled past resurfaces, threatening everything they have built.

Will the magic of the season be enough to bring them together — and this time forever?

MY THOUGHTS

Sweet, cozy and festive. This is the sixth book in the charming small town Port Perry series. I’ve read most in the series. Some mistakes are made but can a second chance and reconciliation happen?
The magic of the season will brighten their days and warm their nights.
Romance, Christmas spirit and new beginnings make for a warm feel good story.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Hello readers,

I absolutely adore writing about love with a happy-ever- after, as it’s a joy to escape into a world where miracles happen and heroes are found. My favourite genre is small- town romance because of the close-knit communities and beautiful settings. I think all the tropes are great, but I find instant attraction the most interesting. I really hope my stories help add some feel-good vibes to your day.

Sending love and light to you,

K.T.

Yours For The Season

336 pages Publisher Ballantine | Dell Publication date October 7, 2025

ABOUT THE BOOK

Could a fake relationship with your ex over Christmas in Scotland be the perfect opportunity for revenge—or a second chance at love? One woman is about to find out in this charming holiday romance from the author of Always, in December and A Winter Wish.

Melanie hasn’t had a good year. Her work life isn’t what she dreamed it would be, her best friend has moved to the other side of the world, and Finn, the man she was sure was the love of her life, dumped her. In front of everyone. At his sister’s engagement party.

So when Finn shows up at Mel’s doorstep two weeks before Christmas, asking if she’ll help him, her first instinct is to slam the door in his face—or punch him.

But he has a proposal for her: Spend the week of Christmas with him and his family in a vacation cottage in the Scottish Highlands. His mother is obsessed with the idea of a perfect Christmas—and to make this dream come true Finn told his mother that he and Mel are dating again. All Mel has to do is come with him and pretend they’re back together.

Mel may hate Finn, but she loves his mom. So she agrees—on one condition. At the end of the week, Finn will allow Mel to publicly dump him so that she can get her dignity back and he can experience the same humiliation she felt.

It’s only a week. Mel can pretend to still be in love with Finn for one week, surely. Except as the festivities bring her closer than ever to Finn and his family, Mel starts to lose track of which feelings are fake and which are for real.

MY THOUGHTS

Who stayed up until 1:30 a.m. reading this last night? Yep, read it in a few hours and just couldn’t put it down.
One thing I’ve noticed about the author’s books are they’re so darn emotional, and that’s what makes them so good. Books you can connect with, books that make you want to come back to them and definitely look forward to the next one.
As far as I know the author writes one book a year and they’re always Christmas books and I’m okay with that. I love Christmas books!
Maggie still has feelings for Finn, not that she’ll admit it to anyone including herself. He broke up with her though at his sister’s engagement party in front of everyone with no explanation to her and she feels made a fool of.
When he shows up at her door six months later asking for a favor, she wants to punch his lights out and slam the door in his face.
He proposes fake dating so his family will have a perfect Christmas, his mother is obsessed with Christmas and he’s doing it to make her happy.
She loves his mom, so she agrees.
This involves staying at a cabin in Scotland with his family over the Christmas holiday week. Touching is allowed only when the family is looking, sweet nicknames too.
What if this brings back a flood of memories for both and they start to really fall in love all over again in this second chance at love story?
Now the emotional part, there’s secrets his family is keeping from each other because they want everyone to have the perfect worry-free Christmas.
When one family member’s secret becomes unkeepable how will this affect everyone’s Christmas fun?
Can this be a love to stay this time or will it end after Christmas is over?
Sweet, Charming and Emotional.
Great read!

The Christmas Yes List: A Heartwarming Holiday Novel

352 pages Publisher Thomas Nelson Publication date October 6, 2026

ABOUT THE BOOK

SOON TO BE A STREAMING ORIGINAL MOVIE!

All she wants for Christmas is a rejection.

Chloe Hollis is done being a people-pleaser. After one too many bad decisions–including a job that asked her to cross a line she couldn’t–she’s determined to change. Her plan? Collect ten nos before Christmas by asking strangers for the most ridiculous favors she can think of.

It should be easy.

But then? Then she meets James.

Instead of shutting her down, the charming out-of-towner keeps saying yes–to Christmas karaoke, to small-town holiday traditions, to every spontaneous, hilarious, totally chaotic idea she throws his way. And the more he says yes, the harder it becomes for Chloe to stick to her plan . . . or protect her heart.

Because James has a reason for saying yes to everything, too–and it might cost them both more than they bargained for.

As their opposite missions collide in a swirl of festive mishaps, unexpected courage, and undeniable chemistry, Chloe starts to wonder if the biggest risk isn’t rejection after all . . . but saying yes to something real.

MY THOUGHTS

I can’t believe I haven’t read this author yet with how many books she’s written. Then I console myself by saying, well you can’t try all the authors. I sure have fun trying though.
Grab your hot chocolate, cozy blanket and your pets, once you start this one you’re not going to want to stop.
A cute and humorous rom com filled with Christmas joy.
Of all places to meet they met at the airport.
After reading a book on self-improvement she makes a pact with herself to learn how to stop being a people pleaser.
What started out as a game gets confusing when she assumes he’s read the same book and is doing the same thing but learning how to say yes to things.
I loved the dialogue James and Chloe had, so much fun and humor in the story.
Great read.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

The Christmas Brides of Twilight: A Sparkling Southern Romance Where the One Who Got Away Returns – A Twilight, Texas Holiday Novel

361 pages Publisher Avon Publication date October 24, 2023

ABOUT THE BOOK

New York Times bestselling author Lori Wilde’s delightful Twilight, Texas, series continues with this sparkling Christmas novel. A reality TV show producer returns to her hometown of Twilight in this lovers reunited story filled with holiday spirit and perfect for readers of Susan Mallery and Jill Shalvis.

She was the one who got away…

Noelle Curry has returned to Twilight to plan the most spectacular double wedding the town has ever seen—and do it on national television. But the woman known as “The Wedding Whisperer” is knocked speechless when she notices her teenage crush, Gil Thomas, is about to plunge into icy cold water wearing nothing more than a pair of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer swim trunks. He is the sexiest guy participating in the annual polar bear plunge and seeing him pushes all thoughts of white lace and rose blossoms right out of her mind.

He was the man who decided to stay…

Single dad Gil doesn’t regret giving up his dreams of big-city singing stardom for small-town life. But seeing Noelle—who’s blossomed from the once-gawky teenager to West Coast beauty—has him thinking of days—and nights—a whole lot hotter than his plunge in the lake. And even though he knows she’ll be heading out as soon as her work is finished, he can’t help hoping the magic of Christmas in Twilight will get her to change her mind and stay in town—and by his side—forever.

Two-tier white wedding cake decorated with pine cones, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, holly, and a Merry & Married topper
A two-tiered winter wedding cake with seasonal decorations

MY THOUGHTS

Will this wedding planner soon be planning her own wedding?
She has planned on returning to Twilight, Texas at Christmas time to prepare for a spectacular televised wedding then immediately leave afterwards. What she hadn’t planned on was seeing an old flame looking better than ever, oh the memories come alive at just the sight of him.
Seeing her brings it all home for him but he has a daughter now to think of and her opinions matter and she’s looking for a new Mommy.
Though I haven’t read a book in the long-standing Twilight, Texas series in several years it’s just as good as I remember. The author brings the characters alive with that special Christmas magic sprinkled in.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Dashing Through the Show: A Wiggle Butt Manor Mystery

273 pages Publication date June 16, 2026 Publisher ‏ : ‎ Level Best Books

Murder is under the mistletoe in the peaceful island community of Orca Cove. Holiday plans are put on hold to give attention to the grand opening of the Wiggle Butt Manor Agility Course. Special guest, Bently, is supposed to dazzle on the stage, but the locals have had enough of his snooty trainer, Miles Collins. So has his killer. When Charlie Calderbank finds Miles’ body in the back of her moving van, it becomes the season of giving…alibis, that is. Her hopes for a Christmas romance are dashed when the local hot cop is forced to pay more attention to the clues leading to her door than the chemistry that simmers between them.

Tainted treats, a widow who raises a toast along with a few eyebrows, a groomer with a grudge, an angry Santa Claus, a nosey reporter, and a canine custody hearing have Charlie spinning in every direction, juggling clues, dogs, and blizzards. She must identify the killer, or she’ll spend her Christmas behind bars.

Seven adorable puppies wearing festive bows sit together in front of a decorated Christmas tree and fireplace.

MY THOUGHTS

This is a new to me author and series. I’m always on the lookout for a new cozy mystery series and one about dogs drew me right in. I couldn’t resist the cute cover either.
Orca Cove is set for the holidays, but any celebrations are put on hold with the opening of the Wiggle Butt Manor Agility Course.
Show dog Bently is a fabulous pup and highly trained, his owner Miles Collins, not so much. Unlikeable and argumentative towards everyone he’s made enemies everywhere he goes. Not surprisingly someone has had enough of his nonsense, and he’s found dead in the back of a moving van.
So many suspects, he’s made enemies with everyone.
I really enjoyed the dogs in the story; it added such a welcoming touch.
The story wasn’t overly Christmassy at all, but I did enjoy it a lot and now I’ll be looking for more to read in this series.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

MY THOUGHTS

A Holiday Homicide is the fourth book in the A Secret Bookcase Mystery series.
There are now six books published in the series and with this book I’ve read three of them.
I enjoy cozy mysteries, but when they are Christmas/holiday themed it’s a little extra.
I have loved every series I’ve read by the author, and this series is another winner.
Fast paced activity, you’ll catch yourself staying up late just to finish and believe me when I say there’s a lot of action at the end.
Who knew gingerbread baking could be so dangerous. Quirky characters, a welcome holiday feel and clues that’ll keep you reading were just what I was looking for in this holiday book.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

As Tilly and George circle each other, they both wonder where their lives are headed and if, maybe, meeting each other is just the Christmas miracle they need.

MY THOUGHTS

Such a cute short story that made me smile.
A light comfort read with characters a bit quirky and a very loveable dog.
Small town charm, a bit of an unexpected setting and the book just didn’t go where I expected it to at all, but it was even better.
Short, sweet, festive and not time consuming making it a great holiday read for when you’re crunched on time.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

A Ferry Merry Christmas

272 pages Publisher Ballantine Book Publication date October 21, 2025

ABOUT THE BOOK

A delayed ferryboat brings people together in the best of ways during the holiday season in this enchanting Christmas novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

Avery and Reed Bond grew up sharing a close-knit relationship, weathering life’s storms side by side. Even so, Avery often finds herself exasperated by her brother’s relentless matchmaking, while Reed can’t resist teasing his sister—after all, isn’t that what siblings do?

Facing their first Christmas without their beloved Grams, the woman who lovingly raised them, Reed and Avery decide to spend the holiday together at Reed’s home. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when the ferry Avery’s traveling on stalls in the middle of Puget Sound, stranding its passengers and leaving Reed waiting a now undetermined length of time for her arrival. What is at first an inconvenience threatens to ruin the plans of a number of commuters, but Avery and Reed soon discover that this unforeseen delay might end up being be a perfectly timed blessing in disguise.

While stuck on the ferry, Avery meets a handsome sailor and witnesses a Christmas miracle that reignites her belief in the holiday spirit. Meanwhile, Reed runs into a coworker who’s also waiting for a family member to arrive, and sparks a surprising and delightful connection.

In this tale of holiday magic, the Bond siblings find themselves taking a chance on love, proving that sometimes the best moments in life come when we least expect them.

MY THOUGHTS

Every holiday season I read the author’s latest Christmas book. This past year I hadn’t had a chance to read the latest but I’m so glad I read it now.
The reason I enjoy the author’s books is because not only are they uplifting and feel-good books, but they also have an important lesson in them.
We have several things going on in this book.
An unassuming ferry ride at Christmas time turns into anything but when it breaks down on the water leaving passengers stranded for hours when they have such important places to be and people to see.
These passengers become more frustrated the longer they wait for repairs to be made. Some of the passengers we meet are a separated couple with a child who weren’t expecting to see each other, a young nervous man whose wife is in labor with their first child and siblings who were so close growing up but time moves on and that closeness just doesn’t seem to be there.
I really enjoyed seeing these characters relationships take a turn for the better as Christmas miracles are abound. Upbeat, uplifting and I’m here for it.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Christmas-The Highland Lodge Getaway: The perfect Scottish feel-good mystery romance to escape with (Scottish Escapes Book 5)

385 pages Publisher One More Chapter Publication date October 20, 2023

ABOUT THE BOOK

Fall in love with the Christmas romance of the year, full of romance and second chances!

That is until the arrival of Blake Dempster, a moody but handsome hiking expert, who threatens to bring down her festive joy. And as the snow falls and the fairy lights sparkle, will work-obsessed Lottie and frozen-hearted Blake make their Christmas wishes come true?

Christmas kitchen with baking supplies, red decorations, and a snowy window view
A cozy kitchen decorated for Christmas with baking ingredients and tools ready.

MY THOUGHTS

This book has had a title change it was previously The Christmas Highland Lodge.
A lovely Christmas book that is really infused with Christmas. Some books you read have a cute Christmas cover but not much Christmas between the pages. Not so with this one, from the decked-out Christmas shop to the lovely snow, Christmas cabins, goodies and more you really felt the Christmas spirit.
All this Christmas but it didn’t feel cheesy or too much just very nice and heartwarming and welcoming.
A young woman and her Mum work at a Christmas shop, she really enjoys it and dreams of buying it when the owner is moving to the states and will no longer run it.
She’s devastated when her dreams go up in smoke as the sale goes to someone else.
All is not lost as she is offered a job as a decorator/promoter for wooden cabins and she’s excited to get going with it.
She and a new hire have a clash up and are not agreeable about how things are running at the cabins. Opposites attract they say as a second chance at love may just pop up for these two.
Full of emotion as we learn why put Christmas hating fella has such disdain for the season.
A charming story that I wish I had gotten to earlier as I’ve enjoyed other books by the author.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.
