Bookish Jobs I Would Do For Free
Now considering money is no issue I’d love to do these bookish things.

Recommend books based on a person’s interest.
Set up a little free library. I have so many books to give away.
Open a used bookstore/bakery coffee shop.

Collect donations of children’s books for children and set up a reading program with older adults reading to them and they would get books and snacks to take home with them.
Set up a program where children would read to a pet. We have this program at our library, and it works beautifully.

Be a personal assistant for authors
Have author interviews on my blog
Start a book blog meme

Work at a library checking out and shelving books.
Help set up for a public book sale.

What types of bookish things would you love to do ?

Recommending books based on a person’s interests sounds fun! One would have to be very well read for that. 🙂
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Opening a bookstore would be so good! Fab list!
Fun list!
I love the idea of pairing kids and seniors as reading buddies! It could benefit both groups on so many levels.

All great ideas, Deanne. When I first retired and was trying to keep busy, some of these would have been great things to volunteer for. Now I am loving being retired and keeping very busy.
Great list!
When my daughter started kindergarten, she came home one day and got the dogs and cats and some of her stuffed toys, lined them up, and read to them. It was SO cute. A program for kids to read to pets is perfect!
These all sound fabulous! I love the idea of having kids read to animals and having a program where adults read to kids. My Little Free Library is going to be operational in the next couple weeks, after we get our yard re-landscaped. I’m so excited!
Happy TTT!
