WATCHED LAST WEEK

Still watching Downtown Abbey, on Season 4 parts one and two of last episode. I was saddened to hear of the death of Dame Maggie Smith. I think she is my favorite character in this show.

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. Stay safe.

Yes, she was a brilliant actress, I loved her wit and sarcasm. You’re right, very emotional always a stressful situation popping up with the family. The sisters sure had their share of heartache and poor Anna.

Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful reading week upcoming as well.

Dame Maggie Smith was a wonderful actress and person. She will be a great loss to the world of entertainment. There was a wonderful program where there was an evening with her, Judi Dench, and two others just sitting around talking about their careers and experiences. I wish I could remember what it was called. It’s worth watching. 💖📚

I think I’d enjoy watching anything she is in. I’ve even considered watching the Harry Potter movies and that’s not my thing but may be worth it to see her.

I never thought Harry Potter would be my thing either, but I adored the books and enjoyed the movies. My step-grandson talked me into doing a buddy read with him back when they were all coming out.

That documentary was called Tea with the Dames, and it was great.
