What are your favorite sports to watch and play?
When my son played hockey with the Hagerstown team I enjoyed watching that. Growing up in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area I am a Steelers football, Penguins hockey and Pirates baseball fan. I’m not into playing sports but I enjoy walking, hiking and working out at home.

Oh how I miss the Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr days!! I was a Penguin fan too!
Really? Wow, I’m surprised to hear you say that. I remember when Jagr came into the league, barely spoke English. Seems so long ago now.
Yeah there was a salesman in the company that I worked for back then that was a season ticket holder for the Flyers. He would give me his tickets when they played the Penguins because he hated Mario!! So, I was living in NJ back then and would drive down the turnpike to Philly…..so much fun!! Do you know Jagr still plays?? He’s 51 now and plays in Czech…… I feel so old!😥😥😥

In high school and college, I played field hockey, tennis and basketball. And raced in swimming. In graduate school, I tried out for an AAU women’s basketball team and got flattened! But still played tennis. As an academic, tennis, swimming, racquetball and sailing. Then came kids and I was reduced to jogging and Jane Fonda workouts!
Now that I am ancient, I swim and walk. I tried pickleball and ended up hurting my back. 🙁 But I may try again.
But I love watching all sports, all sorts – sort of a fanatic and it’s easy since UNC has so many high caliber teams: men’s and women’s lacrosse, soccer and basketball. College and pro football.
I blame my father’s genes. He was a sports fanatic.
That’s great you were so active in sports. Sports is very popular for girls now a days. I’ll bet your dad loved seeing you playing so many sports. I’ve heard how popular pickleball is but haven’t tried it, maybe some day. I’m not so much of a tv watcher but occasionally.
My grandparents lived about an hour from Pittsburgh, in McDonald, but I live near Philadelphia and I am a Philly Sports Fan. Although, I don’t watch as much as I once did.
I’ve never been in McDonald though I have heard of it. Like you I watch a lot less tv especially sports than I used to.

Thank you. Miss those days of him playing a team sport. He’s on to bigger and better things now and so proud of him. He’s a brand new father of twin sons and a police officer.
