Christmas was a lovely day for our family. The day after Christmas after going for a routine appointment our daughter in law was admitted to the hospital to monitor her high blood pressure caused by the pregnancy of twins. She ended up being delivered of those babies that day. They are thriving and almost off oxygen and their formula amount has been increased now. Hopefully they’ll be able to go home soon.

Several of the kids got the flu and unfortunately, I got it too. I just got well from being sick a few weeks ago and got sick again :/ Just as I’m starting to feel better now my husband thinks he may be coming down with something. Think I may put him in quarantine. Just kidding but I don’t want to get sick again.

My reading has been down the past few weeks because of Christmas busyness. and sleeping instead of reading.

Happy New Year! I am so sorry you all have sickness going around! I pray everyone is healthy soon. I can’t imagine only reading 12 books a year, and I am SO thankful that I love reading and have time to read quite a bit! I do not stay up on New Year’s Eve to watch the ball drop, I value sleep more, LOL!

Happy New Year to you dear Cindy. Thank you, guess it’s that time of year to have sickness circulating but I’m looking forward to all of us feeling much better. I know, it’s like “12 books”, you are kidding me right. I guess it makes me old to say I don’t stay up late either and couldn’t care less about the ball dropping. At one time I stayed up to watch it but no more. I’ll agree with you on the sleep part, LOL!

The book format survey was VERY interesting and surprising. Although I use both printed and digital books, I had assumed that most people use digital. Assumptions are dangerous!🙃 I may be up to see the New Year in, but it will just be because I am reading. Get well soon!

I thought it was great informative and interesting too. Some of the statistics took me by surprise. I stayed up reading on new year’s eve too. Myself I do prefer paperback but so many books are great only available digitally so we have to adapt. My husband only reads physical books and so far he’s been able to find the ones he wants that way.
