I have not read any in this series, but it sounds like one I would enjoy–especially the plot of this book. I also love the cover.
I love the cover as well, so eye-catching. I’m really enjoying this series. In most series you don’t enjoy all of the books but I’m enjoying them all equally well.
That is a great first line and book presentation. As it so happens the book closest to me right was the book I wrote. The first line, or rather 2-3 lines :
“It was a quiet evening, and I was home alone. My wife, Claudia, was visiting her parents a few blocks away with Rachel, our daughter. Our son Jacob was meeting with his debate team; our other son, David, was visiting a friend.
I was making myself a ham sandwich in the kitchen when I suddenly felt a hand on my right shoulder.”
That sounds very intriguing!
As it turns out it was our big dog Bronco’s paw. It was as big as a hand. He just wanted to share. I was jumpy because we had a trespasser terrorizing us at night, particularly my wife and other women in the neighborhood. But that’s one reason to have a big dog.
