Describe something you learned in high school.
I’ve learned that learning is not over just because you are out of school. Life is a continuous journey of learning.

Describe one positive change you have made in your life.
I stopped eating meat, fish and poultry 5 years ago and can’t imagine going back.

What’s the most fun way to exercise?
I enjoyed walking the dogs when I had them. There are so many forms of exercise, what’s not to enjoy? Hiking, going to the gym, doing a work out dvd, throwing a football around with the kids, playing baseball with them, going to a track and walking, running up and down the court playing basketball. It’s all fun.

What book could you read over and over again?
I read my Bible over and over again.

We’ve had this question before, but I believe the question was any real person. My answer will remain the same, I don’t want to be anyone but myself. I don’t watch movies, but I do admire some characters I read in books. Having said that I wouldn’t want to trade lives with them, I wouldn’t have the people in my life I do if I did. I wouldn’t have my husband and children. I am happy being me.

There is no right or wrong answer for this one. What may be the best/worse animal for me may not necessarily be the best/worse animal for you. There are so many things to take into consideration before acquiring an animal. Do you really want this animal and it’s not something you’ll be tired of in a month. Do you have the time to devote to this animal, walking brushing, attention, training etc, depending on what kind you get? Will you be home enough so they don’t have separation anxiety and chew, scratch or go on your floor? Pets like kids come with unexpected expenses, that puppy or kitten may be so adorable to look at but eventually they’ll need vet care for an emergency, sickness or just plain routine maintenance. Will you be able to afford the upkeep of it? It’s not far to the animal if you get it and can’t afford it and then dump it back at a shelter. Since Covid the cost of pet foods and litter and their supplies have gone up every few months. It’s not cheap being a pet parent. If you can afford it and have the time for a pet(s) it’ll be a lifelong friendship and devotion so take all these into consideration before getting your new pet. I’ve had cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs as pets. Currently I have 2 cats and feed 3 strays outside. I have no dogs or rabbits but do have guinea pigs.

What job would you do for free?
I would enjoy teaching others to read. I don’t understand how the illiteracy rate is so high in the United States and many that can read have a 6th grade reading level. Okay not everyone enjoys reading books on their own time and I can understand that but you need to be able to read to function in society. What about signing legal forms, getting a job, ordering from a menu, helping your child with homework and lots more. Do these people just look at pictures? I’m not making fun of anyone I’m just genuinely wondering how someone could function being illiterate.

What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?
I’m not a TV watcher and I’ll be honest I don’t care about the Olympics, if they didn’t have them anymore wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. If I absolutely had to watch them for some reason in the past I’ve enjoyed ice skating, gymnastics, ludge and snow boarding. The kids in the past have watched skateboarding 🛹 and I’ve enjoyed watching that . Those skateboarders are pretty daring and talented.

How would you improve your community?
I live in a rural community with cattle farms and one red light. I wouldn’t change anything because it would lose its charm. This is the village I live in, it’s called Fort Loudon. We’ve had a ton of rain the past few days and as you can see the creek is over its banks. The tree that has the white sign on it is where the path is my son and I went walking on a few days ago. As you can see the creek is pretty high. Also under the bridge is a pretty good sized walking area that’s flooded too.
