Enjoying nature and watching the birds at my feeders. I have a cardinal couple that lives in our tree and they are such a joy to watch. They really love the safflower seeds I put out. They won’t eat the regular seeds I put out.
Clutter. Who wants it, who needs it. I’ve heard hoarders feel secure when they have their possessions all around that it gives them a good feeling. I am not a hoarder and it doesn’t make me feel happy, it actually makes me feel 🫥 depressed when I see a bunch of clutter so I try to stay on top of it. When I walked into a messy room before I would survey it and mentally calculate what needed done then scurry around with no plan just putting this away and that away from different sides of the room. Now I at least make a plan. I’ll start at the top of the room on one side and work my way down when I’m doing a deep cleaning 🧹🧼. Dust, wipe down walls, go through cabinets clear counters, what to keep, what to pitch what to give away. This way working on one side of a room at a time I have less chaos and can do a more thorough cleaning and it’s not as overwhelming as when I try to do the whole room at once.
My favorite animal is the cat. I have three, they are rascals but wouldn’t give them up for anything. Charlie, the black and white cow cat is 18 months , Orangey I’m not sure of his age as we took him in as a stray this past summer. Iris will be 11 and we’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old. She was a stray born in our yard.
I think a lot of online communication apps are overblown and you can have soooooo many of them. Mist in my opinion are nonsense. My favorite one to communicate on isy blog. I also have FB, use it for book promotion, X, same thing, IG I’m ready to delete and also ready to delete Pinterest. At one time I used Pinterest to look at pictures but haven’t used it in years. I have LinkedIn and that’s another book thing as well. I use Goodreads for communication about book challenges I am doing. Let’s see, the kids schools use several communication apps you have to have as well. It’s all too much!
My most recent memorable road trip was several years ago. It was an anniversary trip and we spent time exploring all the New England states. The states are beautiful and we had such a wonderful time.
A fruit bowl with all my favorites sounds so good right now as long as they’re fresh. Cherries, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, mango, pineapple, papaya, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes especially green grapes, blackberries, bananas I’m sure I’m missing some but you get the gist of it. Now I’m hungry for this tropical paradise. 😁
As you drift off to dream land I hope your day has been fulfilling. I hope you’ve found the answers you have been looking for and you’ve gotten that one thing completed you’ve been putting off. May you sleep now with the satisfaction of a day full of blessings. Good night dear friends.
Laura wants to shake things up. She’s thirty-eight, and has been living in her parents’ house since her divorce last year. Her siblings seem to have got their lives together: successful careers, happy marriages, beautiful children.
Laura’s determined to prove herself. And buying the beautiful Pennycress Inn in the idyllic Cotswolds village of Meadowfield could be just the way to do it.
But getting the inn ready for its first guests proves easier said than done! With crumbling walls, dangerous woodwork and loose roof tiles, not to mention unfriendly locals and even errant sheep, Laura soon fears she’s made the wrong choice.
Luckily a friendly face is on hand in the form of gorgeous chef, Jackson. But is he too good to be true? And just why are the villagers so against her?
Can Laura turn her life around and get the fresh start she longs for at Pennycress Inn?
Welcome to Pennycress Inn is the start of a brand-new romance series from Sarah Hope, an author I can recommend as I’ve read her books before. A nice light read but it does have some important bits in it too. A book that’ll have the afternoon zipping by before you know it. I was engrossed in it, loved the characters and the setting of the English countryside is magical. This left me with a smile on my face and I can highly recommend it. Can’t wait to read the others in this new series.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
