Its such a tragedy so many outdoor animals, not just cats face these. I’m so glad your cats are happy indoor cats. Sadly several years ago we had one of our kids leave the basement door open from the family room into the basement. It has rained heavily the night before and water collected in the basement. One of our cats went into the basement, walked through the water and outside through a basement door leading outside that was open. Had no idea he was in the basement and certainly didn’t think he’d go outside walking through water to get there. Sadly we found him in front of our house dead by a car hitting him.

How terrible! One of our cats – the Manx – was a stray and she bolts out the front door anytime we leave it open to talk to someone who knocks. We have started coming in through the garage. She just wants to be outside – sticks pretty close to the house and will come to us if we don’t chase her. But it still scares me when she gets out.

Thank you. Yes, it’s really hard because some cats do just want to be outside, and they of course don’t understand the danger of it. I agree, we’ve had a few of our cats get out occasionally over the years and it worries me so much of they do.

I am afraid I did not realize what this post ment until I saw a different comment. As a person who does not care for animals much less own them I did not understand the post. These things that happen are tragedy’s, and sadly happen everyday where I live. Even as a person who doesn’t like animals, I am saddened everytime I hear something like this. I just hope one day the world will realize what they are doing is wrong and will take their pets as house pets. 🙏😻

Thank you, yes animals do suffer when not taken care of properly. Hopefully more people will come to this realization soon. Not all understand what is best for the animals or know better. No harm done with your posting. Have a good day.

My barn cats would throw hysterics if they tried to come inside. One will come in go eat and then start raising hell. One of the outdoor cats just lived to 19 years old and mid teens is about our average 🤷‍♀️ I get it for city folks but lol I think mine would rather go get eaten than be inside and I support them 😂
