What are your feelings about eating meat?
Answering the daily prompt ❓❓❓❓❓
So my mother has been a vegetarian for as long as I’ve known her. I was not and she didn’t try to influence me to become one either.
I became one , it’ll be six years in April of next year. I am a lover of animals and have watched many documentaries on animal suffering and what they go through so we can eat them and this includes birds and fish as well. I decided I could not contribute to this cruelty anymore. It’s better for the environment not to eat meat as well. My health has improved and I have more energy not eating meat. Luckily I enjoy many fruits and vegetables and plant based foods. I think they are delicious.

Thank you. We all have a preference, and this is mine.

We still eat meat but a lot less than we used to. Fish has taken over, but it’s still an animal.

That’s good. It’s healthier for you to eat less of it. Even when I ate meat I ate mostly chicken . I don’t like beef, a steak was never impressive to me.
i did like certain types of fish though. If you’ve never tried plant based meats and fish I suggest you give them a try. I especially like the Gardein chicken fillets plant based product.

I could never get my husband to try any plant-based meat and I worry that it is so processed. 😦

Mine likes some of the burgers. But like yours’s he’s very hesitant to try any of my plant-based stuff. As far as being ultra processed, it just depends. I read the ingredients some are high in sodium or spices and other things so paying attention to nutrition content is important.

I’ve been vegetarian almost all my life and have gone near vegan a few times (just have a bit of organic milk now and again) but I definitely could never eat meat as I love animals too much. It’s a shame the mass meat industry treats so many animals so poorly before they are killed.

Thank you for all you’ve done and all the animals you’ve saved because of your actions. I became a vegetarian almost 6 years ago and, I was a vegan for about 6 months but enjoy dairy too much. Not something I’m proud of because I know I could save more animals if I was a straight vegan. It really is sad because it’s all about profit for them, they have no compassion.
