What was your favorite subject in school?
I very much enjoyed creative writing and English class. When I was 13 we moved to Yuma, AZ and were in Arizona for two years. I decided I would take Spanish since there were quite a few speaking it around me. Let’s just say, I didn’t do so well. My oldest son took 3 years of it and did very well though.

My favorite subject is History. I am learning Spanish on Duolingo, and I won’t say I am doing very well, but I am doing pretty good.
History is fascinating I agree. I especially enjoy the American 1800’s Civil War time period.
Gksd to hear you’re doing well enough in Spanish. It’s hard learning a second language and I can easily see the difficulty a non English person would have learning English as it’s a tricky language to learn for non-natives.
My favorite subject was Physics
There are endless possibilities to explore with physics.

Very interesting subjects Deane! I like Music and History. I use to do Spanish but gave up on it. Lol. I do Latin and Italian now on duolingo. Glad your son is doing well on his Spanish!
i love history too, so many interesting time periods to explore. I know taking a second or even third language is not easy. I’m glad English is my first language as I’ve heard it’s not easy to learn.
I agree with you on the history! I heard non-speakers of English have a hard time learning English! It’s kinda crazy to think of since English is our first langue! It’s not easy learning another language! That’s for sure!
Even though I had a career in science, English was my favorite class. I got a perfect score on the English GRE.

another language is almost very difficult, tho i have to say Spanish is beautiful. i also learned to appreciate Japanese.
It was hard for me to learn another language, I tried unsuccessfully but I do enjoy hearing it spoken. I know Japanese is even harder to learn.
