Good afternoon 🌞,
I hope you are doing well today and staying cool with whatever you are doing. I’ve been resting in bed because I barely slept last night. I kept tossing and turning because of the heat and had a raging headache. We are under a heat advisory today with a high of 99 . You’d think I lived in the South. It’s already at 87 and we’re only getting hotter. I’ve been watching Hell’s Kitchen with my son and I can say I’m addicted. It’s been cutting into my reading time 📚🤔. I think I need an iced coffee to get through this day. Have a good day and thank you for reading my posts.

Sorry to hear about the headache and the bad night. I have those every once in a while. Iced coffee should help. But this kind of heat, if you’re not used to it, can cause health problems. When we first moved to NC, we had hot summers but never for the consistent length of time we have now. We’re warming up. I’d say time to move north but there’s no relief there, right?

Thank you, the iced coffee definitely helped and the headache is gone. The heat has never affected me as much as it has this year and I sure don’t like it . Haven’t done much today besides hang a load of laundry outside on the line. We ended up having a high of 100 today and even the cats are taking it easy in this heat.

I was so depleted after my swim yesterday with water so warm it made me sweat, that I took a nap. We are under the umpteenth day of heat advisory in a row, so today I am NOT going outside. We seem to have a month or more of this heat in store here.

No, it truly isn’t. It’s the kind that saps your energy as soon as you feel it. This is why I prefer fall and winter lol
