I used to collect lighthouse stuff, remember when apple stuff in the kitchen was popular, I used to collect that then too. Now I collect shoes, perfume, purses, books, candles, ocean themed stuff, country charm stuff , bird themed stuff ,cat themed stuff ,snowmen, turtles, frogs not real of course and more stuff that I can’t think of now.

I’ve seen some beautiful vintage music boxes, and they sound so pretty.

My daughter gave me a little lighthouse statue for Christmas several years ago. She knew I loved lighthouses and I still do, especially herβs. She knows this in heaven. Thank you for your response ππ

It’s always so heartwarming when your children make a special effort to gift you with something that means so much to you. A gift to treasure forever. So appreciate you stopping in and visiting today. βππ»ββ₯οΈ

Absolutely! Years ago we moved from a yard that hosted lots of frogs. I loved those frogs and missed them at our new house. Talked about it. One of my co-workers said no prob, she had frogs and would bring me some. We had a “frog-release” lunch. They didn’t make it. My boss said, no, they can’t be “transplanted.” Okay. My nephew had pollywogs–lots of them. I had water features. In they went–and down the throats of any birds who saw them. Got water plants–enough for pollywogs to hide under. No dice. But the word was out. For Christmas, my birthday, Mother’s Day, any occasion–my new gift was frogs: concrete garden frogs, cutesy house decorations. I still have (after many moves) a lot of them and a few new ones added to this house. I don’t need any more at this age, but they bring a happy grin to my face every time I see one of them given with love and thoughtfulness.

I love your comment here π. Frogs really are great. I’m sorry it didn’t work out so well with your frogs and you tried so many different ways as well. I didn’t realize frogs were so vulnerable and that birds considered them such a delicacy as well. At least you have your garden frogs and house decorations, I have lots of them too. I live in the country and by a creek and in tbe spring we have a lot of them around.
