Are you a leader or a follower?
It just depends on the situation. We are all leaders sometimes and followers at other times. Anyone that tells you they are a leader 100% of the time is not telling you the truth. We all go through this journey called life learning from our experiences and as we do we are following. When we are the teachers we are leading. It’s give and take in this life.

I totally agree with you. People who view themselves as “leader types” or “Alpha” are just a bit delusional and arrogant.

You’re absolutely right – depends on the circumstances. As teacher, asst. dean for student affairs, head of a science lab and chair of many committees, I had a lot of experience leading. But it was also fun just to be an ordinary member of other groups and follow the leader!
A good follower must see the qualities and rate of success of whom they want to follow
