When I was in about 20, I still lived at home and my mom was pretty strict. I had a boyfriend named Thamer that had a motorcycle, of course she didn’t allow me to ride it. She was out one day, and I did. He told me to wear a jacket and the helmet and for a first-time rider I’ll say it was scary swaying with the bike turns. I was glad to get off of it. I’m glad I tried it though.

Skydiving, definitely! But I did ride with a boyfriend on his motorcycle without a helmet – no laws in those days.

With my dislike of heights that would be out for me but I admire you for doing that. Right, a lot more lenient about almost everything back then.

Ah, soon as I saw the question I thought of my riding days. I had several close calls and finally gave up riding my BMW 1200C when we opted to live and tour in an RV (couldn’t take the bike). My son is fixing up a scooter now–I’m anxious to try it out!

I hope you have fun riding it. I’ve heard mixed reviews about RV living and traveling. Mostly people raving about it and enjoying their freedom.

My first boyfriend only had a motorcycle was scary in the beginning but I learned to love it . Helmets only in long rides . I was very naive

We do get used to certain things and used to what they tell us but hopefully wise up as we get older.

we absolutely loved it until we pulled a stupid and got a Class A (more room than the C). the motor was trash and failed on us but we managed two winters in the Yuma foothills–would totally recommend that location. and, of course, the winters are delightful there.

Yuma, us that where you live? I loved there for a year when I was 15 then my mom moved to Chino Valley for a year then back to Pennsylvania where we were from . I lived at 1103 13th Avenue right across from the desert and The Boys and Girls Club. I have a lot of great memories of Yuma and loved their library.

no, don’t live there now. lived in Yuma for two winters tho in the foothills. loved the location right outside of the city of Yuma. i was selling my grandfather’s books then and every winter every RV park had a craft fair. they were fun! we enjoyed the area but generally left around April.

Those sound like fun, I wasn’t aware of them when I lived there but I was a teen. I would have the interest now though. The location sounds so lovely. So many nice memories of Yuma, I enjoyed the Peanut Patch on the outskirts of town too.

there were dual, triple, and quad lots. many had accommodations. we were on a dual lot that had a bathroom and washing facilities. absolutely loved the area. so many beautiful RV’s and of course the desert themed homes and landscaping was primo.
