Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium is a one-of-a-kind attraction that you do not want to miss on your trip to Gettysburg! Located just a short distance from the historic downtown, Mister Ed’s features more than 900 varieties of candy, 100 flavors of fudge, and more than 12,000 elephant figurines on display. You can also grab freshly roasted peanuts to snack on as you take a walk through the gardens or enjoy one of the special events that are hosted throughout the year.

We live about 40 minutes from Gettysburg and Mr. Eds Elephant Museum and candy shop is on the way but we haven’t stopped in yet.

We’ve driven past many times. They have a lot of elephant statues outside in all sizes and apparently thousands of figurines inside for sale. I do need to check it out. I think this year may be the 50th year they’ve had it and the Candy store. I’m sure you’d love it.

Do visit Gettysburg – it’s very impressive. I want to visit Beaufort on the NC coast. We have a free weekend at the Marriot there, so sometime soon. Interestingly, it’s pronounced BOWfort while the same name of a town in SC is called BEWfort.
