Happy Friday & welcome to First Line Friday. It’s time to grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. Today, I’m featuring the first line of In Farm’s Way by Amanda Flower it’s a Farm to Table cozy mystery. Her books are such fun reads.

And The First Line is……………
A Michigander knows snow–or at least she should.
About The Book
Even the best-laid plants can go awry…
After solving a murder and getting her organic farm ready to overwinter, Shiloh Bellamy still expects the next few months to be busy with repairs, spring planning, and networking with local businesses. She might even be able to broker a new partnership with Fields Brewery and its organic brewer’s association. Well, she could if the owner wasn’t found murdered at the county Ice Fishing Derby.
Once again, Shiloh gets tangled up in the investigation when the police ignore an entire crop of suspects to blame one of her friends. She’ll have to dig deep to find the truth, reel in a killer, and convince her city-slicker pug to wear his winter boots. But with Bellamy Farm still struggling, can Shiloh spare the time to look into the town’s fishy characters? Or will her dream farm be the next thing floating belly up?
USA Today bestselling Amanda Flower returns to the Farm to Table cozy mystery series with another exciting sleuthing adventure!

Happy Friday!
I’m currently reading A King for Christmas by Brooke St. James.
“I looked at my brother, putting the receiver in my lap, and muffling it in my shirt so that James couldn’t hear me.”
I hope you have a great weekend! Happy reading!

Ha! I used to live in Wisconsin. I feel your pain. Before we moved here, we lived in Western NY, five miles from Lake Ontario. 100 inches of snow every winter!😱Never again!🤦♀️⛄😂💜

Happy Friday!
My first line is coming from Honor Bound by Hallee Bridgeman.
Captain Rick Norton crouched near the edge of the dirt road. Ears still ringing from the intense firefight, the smell of gunpowder burning his nose, he looked around, counting team members.”

Having lived in N.DAkota and Wisconsin this is true!
My first line today is from Millstone of Doubt by Erica Vetsch:
Thorndike House- London- March 1, 1816
The problem with concealing a weapon beneath a day dress at a social gathering became all too apparent to Lady Juliette Thorndike the moment she sat beside the Dowager Duchess of Haverly.

I’ll say, us Northerners are no stranger to handling ourselves in snow but I sure could go for less of it. Great choice, sounds like one I’d enjoy too.

Great first line, Deanne. I enjoyed the first book in this series and need to catch up. In Southern Ontario, we usually get our first snow in November, but it doesn’t stick around. I head to Florida after Christmas, so miss the worst of the winter snow.

Good morning, Carla. Yes, it’s a fun series. I have books of hers I need to catch up on too. So many books so little time 🙂 Oh my, here in PA we get snow in November or December but usually don’t have a white Christmas. I don’t blame you for zipping down there to Florida, I wouldn’t mind missing the bulk of the white stuff too. When I was a teen my Mom moved us to Yuma, Az because she was tired of the cold weather and we saw plenty of snowbirds there. That didn’t last long as she moved us back to PA and that is where I’ve stayed. Have a great day, Carla.

My sister and her husband used to snowbird in Arizona, but switched to Florida last year, it’s so much closer.

Driving from that distance closer is good I’d say. It was so incredibly hot in AZ that I’m glad we’re not there anymore.
