The most important invention in your lifetime is…
An important invention that started in my lifetime is one I actually use daily. Digital books or ebooks. I used to say I’d only read books I can hold in my hand and still love trips to the library. I will admit ebooks are rather convenient, don’t take any extra room up and I always have them available since my phone is in my purse when I go out. How do you feel about ebooks?

I like them but only if I am downloading a free copy. I heard that you can’t download an ebook from Amazon and you have to read it either on your kindle or on their apps on other devices and the access is revoked once the account is deleted which makes it a rental rather than ownership. However, considering the price at which we can acquire them they certainly provide a cost effective solution to readers.

I agree with everything you’ve said here. It is a shame you can’t just download a file to your computer to be able to keep rather than an app that you’ll lose when the account is closed.

I prefer buying manually on bookstores but I also appreciate the less effort of ebooks. They are convenient and less cheaper.
So either way, I’m cool.

I agree, I love physical books but also love the convenience of eBooks. So, I’ll just take a nice mix of both.

In my rather long lifetime – the computer. I remember back to college days when there were none and how difficult it was to do research and write papers!

What an absolute marvelous invention computers have been. We couldn’t even imagine doing without them now.

Definitely the various types of technology. Whether it is in medicine (lazer surgery, machines for tests, and robotics) retail (computer cash registers) education (computers for research and online learning) or home (computers and cell phones with zoom or messenger to talk and see family and friends when you are far away) it has changed our lives.

You’ve hit the nail on the head with this one, Carla. We are so blessed to live in this time of technological advancements.
