Mine was one of the first Apples. I was the first one in my department to have a PC.

Hey, you sure rated high! I’m sure having a computer really helped making your job easier.

You would think so, but the computer printed out on punch hole paper and I had to have the departmental secretaries type (on their typewriters) my grants out on good paper, and there were lots of errors. I swam in white-out.

My husband bought me an electronic planner and I liked it, but it didn’t do enough. A friend’s husband owned a computer store where he put together computers based on what you were going to do with it, so that was what I did for my first computer, at least for home. I used a lot of them at school and they were oldies.

Love this idea of building custom computers for what you’re going to do with them. I’ve never used an electric planner. I don’t use regular planners either so probably wouldn’t have been much use to me either. I remember taking computer classes at school, using those big clunky things and how impressed I was with them. We sure have come a long way!

I returned the planner, Deanne. I do not use planners. My husband thought it would help me get organized, but I was organized in my own way. I put the money towards the computer. 🤣
