Good morning dear friends,
This is one of the outdoor cats that I feed. He was completely feral and I was able to slowly gain his trust. He’s such a sweet boy. We call him Orangey.

We call the tiger striped cat Kitten Little since we’ve been feeding her since she was a kitten. The name has stuck even though she’s now 6 years old. We also call her Mae since she’s not a kitten, if we remember. π
We are going to be at 88 today which is a nice change from the 90’s and 100’s we’ve had recently. Hopefully it’ll be a noticable difference today but maybe not with the humidity.
Have a great day and thanks for spending some of your day with me. π»ππ

Aww, they are both cute. It looks like Orangery might be a little frightened of Kitten Little, or knows her place, letting elders eat first. π It is going up to 81 here today, but is supposed to be cloudy. I am having lunch with a bunch of my colleagues that I used to work with. It will be great to see them again.

ibwas finally able to tame Orangey after being in our garage for awhile . I’d talk softly to him and entice him with food. He is the sweetest, mild mannered boy. He is a bit wary of Kitten Little, it’s a territory thing, she was here first and would growl at him and run him off. One day I saw him finally stand up for himself and she’s getting more used to him, slowly. We have a pure black cat that has just started coming around in tbe past week and it’s only here at night so very hard to see with it being black and in our dark yard. How exciting you’ve had lunch with a bunch of former work colleages. I’m sure that catch up was wonderful and I hope lunch was just as good. π΄πβπ

Orangey looks so sad. You are very kind to spend the time to gain his trust. Feral cats have very tough lives. I love Kitten Little! I think I’ve spent a lifetime working with ferals. None here now because of the coyotes. My favorite was an enormous male I tames in California – battle scarred with half an ear missing and enormous jowls. He turned out to be quite a love.

Orangey showed up in our garage last summer. I didn’t even see him all day, he’d hide in there until night time then come out at night to eat. Slowly he started trusting me through softly talking to him and through food of course. He’s such a sweet boy. The sweet battle scarred boy you’ve loved sounds so sweet. The big ones that seem the scariest are usually the best in the end.

I have a bun bun named Leo. He is a Flemish giant, but he is small for his breed. https://www.pillowfort.social/posts/4995446
