What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?
I had gotten into a good eating habit, gave up sugar and was feeling so much more energetic. Then my husband got bronchitis and I took care of him. Being in close contact with him I got it myself. With bronchitis, I had extreme fatigue and lost my sense of smell and taste. Unfortunately this made my healthy eating quest go out the window. I’ve regained my sense of smell and taste now and the healthy eating is again taking priority. Being a vegetarian it can be hard to get enough protein day in and day out so I have an app on my phone I add my meals to and it tracks it for me.

Luckily I like tofu a lot and make delicious stir fry meals with it

I am sorry you two got Bronchitis. I hope you both feel better now. I’ve had it a couple of times but my son gets it quite often. He has scarring on his lungs.

Thank you, we are on the healing side of it now thank goodness, a few relapses but just about gone. It’s frustrating how long it takes to get rid of it. I’m sorry to hear you and your son have had it and your son more often. Scarring on the lungs, I’ve never heard of that. Is this caused by asthma?

No he had a bad case of pneumonia and he got scarring on the lungs and after that he gets bronchitis very easily. I think he must have had bronchitis at least 20 times. I also have scarring on my lungs but it seems to be gone now. I got it from an unknown lung disease that I picked up when I was working at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico the summer of 1993. I had bronchitis several times too but by the time I was 40 the problem seemed to be gone.

That’s scary to be honest with you. You always want the best for your children and to protect them and it’s a helpless feeling when they are vulnerable to something such as this. My youngest daughter has asthma but it’s not overly bad for her.. I’m so glad to hear your health has improved. It’s very frustrating in the moment as it seems to last forever especially when you have setbacks.

Thank you Deanne. We both had this problem but he has it much worse than I had and it is still ongoing.

I hope you’re both feeling lots better! I’m a vegetarian, too! What app do you use?

Thank you, recovery was long and frustrating because we’d feel better than relapse but just about all recovered now. That’s so awesome to hear you’re a vegetarian too. I couldn’t find a vegetarian app I overly was impressed with, believe me I looked. I am using a weight loss app called Lose It. It has an option for plant based dieting and I love how it tracks daily sugar, protein, macronutrients, calories, water, sleep, has an option for intermittent fasting and lots more. I tried it out for 5 days then had an.option to continue to use it for $40 a year. To me it’s worth it because it tracks so much.

I know. I was on a roll with my healthy eating, so motivated then got sick and lost my sense of taste and smell and all of the sudden my healthy foods didn’t appeal to me. I got a watermelon today and have been snacking on it, yum.

I hope you and you husband are okay now. I’m also diagnosed with Bronchitis way back a child and have a Tuberculosis in my college days. I got scarring of my lungs because of it.
And luckily I feel better now. Might as well switch to vegetables for a long living. Will pray for your recovery 🙏

Thank you for well wishes, much appreciated. We are on the recovering side now thank goodness. I’m sorry to hear you had those, I know recovery is long and not easy. Yes, more fruits and vegetables have been added to my food again. Luckily I love them and love how they make me feel.

Thank you for the well wishes and compliment. Much appreciated. 🙏. It’s frustrating how long it’s lasted, several weeks. It’s mostly gone but then lingering symptoms will pop up unexpectedly sometimes but we are both on the recovering side now.

Sickness really can disrupt a lot of things, including healthy eating. That happened to my husband and I as well. But we’re getting back on track. Sending prayers and healing wishes!

Oof, that’s a tough run you’ve had. Kudos to you for getting right back on track with healthy eating that plate is loaded with beautiful, colourful food. I’d love some times about how you managed to get off the sugar train!

thank.ypu. Yes, it’s hard to get back on track when you fall off the healthy eating habits. I gave up sugar by just will power. I am a vegetarian and went to the library and checked out sugar free eating books . The benefit I have is I feel more energized and stronger without the sugar and I like the feeling. Best of luck in your journey if you’re about to start on your healthier eating journey. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. 🍴🍎🍓♥️

What hen I was sitting at Luther College in Decorah Iowa, I had biology my health class. I will never forget as long as I live two classes I’ve had since I went started going to school the first was the first class I found distasteful when I was just out of high school I had a year at William Penn college and Oskaloosa Iowa. now the college is a university and whenever you write William Penn college in its infinite Justice goes in there replaces college with University I don’t care when I was there it was just a college. two cemeteries on either side of the campus one was on blood avenue No lie. brockler tubes are coated and phlegm I will never forget seeing that and cuz I have it whenever I have a cold goes right to my broncular tubes and then I have butterflies so when the empty listens to my chest it sounds like I have heart murmurs yay. the other class was when I was in my first year at William Penn was on abortion and it was barrel upon barrel of sweet beautiful babies cut up to cut them out like debris from the young woman so that she could say that it was her body and it wasn’t a life form. screw that any being that has a heart and it beats is a life form.
