How do you use social media?
I am not a fan of social media but do need to use it. I use Facebook to promote books. I have Instagram but don’t care for it especially since you can’t use links in your posts. I follow a wonderful cat rescue group out of California on it. I have X, ugh hate that name why couldn’t they just leave it alone at Twitter? I use this for book promotions as well. Pinterest I have but haven’t used it in years.

After trying a few, following is my conclusion:
– my blog and website are the main sources. Business supporters and friends at the same time. I cannot explain. They are really a great part of my life.
– instagram, facebook and youtube to support my blog
– snapchat i tried. It lasted one hour in my hands.
– twitter… idem
– tiktok no comment just like all the rest.

For me my blog, Facebook and website are major. I have someone who manages my instagram, twitter and pinterest accounts.

Oh same here. I ve found the blog to be such a good social media for writers. It took me a while to really start enjoying it (about five years) but I am so happy with it now 😊

I’m so happy to hear that it’s working out so well for you. I know a lot are still lost on how to do anything extra on their blog even after some time.

I blog about all sorts of things besides my books – history, book reviews, anything that strikes my fancy. And not all the time, just from time to time. It’s a great place to practice your writing. Glad you are using your blog for great purposes!

yes, first and foremost, my blog. i also use twitter–hate the “X”–and instagram but i have more response from twitter and about the same from facebook. i started the blog to sell the books by grandfather wrote, but realized after a few years that was a no go–no clue what i was doing so it took me about five years to really focus–reviews.

I think it’s trial and error for beginning bloggers. Many after years of blogging still have problems changing themes or setting things up on their blog. I’m still learning my way around myself.

well, not a beginner, but yes, any changes take me awhile and i’ve never caught on to “the block.” ugh. trial and error for sure.

Speaking for myself, there’s a lot I still have to learn.

I also use Facebook a lot for my blogs and then LinkedIn. Instagram and X has not really worked well for me so far

Musk has lost his damn mind! I have never been big into Twitter, now even less so…X seems so dumb..

X really is stupid and you’re right about that. I use it to promote my blog only.

I don’t use social media but if I did have social media it would be to promote my blog
