How would you improve your community?
I live in a rural community with cattle farms and one red light. I wouldn’t change anything because it would lose its charm. This is the village I live in, it’s called Fort Loudon. We’ve had a ton of rain the past few days and as you can see the creek is over its banks. The tree that has the white sign on it is where the path is my son and I went walking on a few days ago. As you can see the creek is pretty high. Also under the bridge is a pretty good sized walking area that’s flooded too.

That’s quite significant flooding. I grew up on the north Swedish country side but now I live in a big city (Dallas).

I’ll bet it’s beautiful in Sweden. Do you have any family left there? I lived in Tulsa for about a year in my teens. Big city living is not for me but I do enjoy the occasional visit. Yes, that’s a lot of flooding. Happens every spring here. Pretty soon it’ll be trout season and they’ll flock to fish there.

I see sites like this here where there are tons of creeks and catch ponds. This community needs speed bumps – we have cars racing down the street outside our house!

We have them racing past our house too. They love to race around in our rural area. We have stray cats in our area and sometimes they get hit on the road.

Sad to hear. We asked if the DOT would install speed bumps but they refused.

Makes me sick to my stomach. It’s a shame they won’t install the speed bumps . The residents would know better than them if speed bumps are needed.

You’d think. This strip of road is just an accident waiting to happen!

But what you want to improve and change here in ur village?

I don’t really know. Maybe a few more businesses added so we don’t have to travel so far to conduct business.

Wow, nature’s power is evident! Stay safe amidst the floods. How about organizing a cleanup effort post-rain?

Thank you. Yes, always a great idea to bring together the valley.

I love mediation. I stopped doing it for a bit but when I do stick to it, I never regret it!

I haven’t done meditation in years but with you bringing it up I think I’m going to start again. I always felt so relaxed when I did. I’m so glad you brought that up. Thank you! I hope you’ll get a chance to start this relaxation technique again soon.

I would make divorce illegal. So you’re accountable for your commitment. Don’t get to make oaths and later change your mind when it’s advantageous

Right, this way people would be so much more responsible in relationships and not rush into marriage as if it’s disposable when things aren’t strong. It’s a lot of work and commitment on both sides. The Amish marry for life and I’m sure other religions do as well.
