The babies are here!

We are so excited to announce our son and his wife had twin baby boys today a little over an hour ago. The babies were born at 34 weeks, due date February 8. They are in an incubator and will be kept for about 2 weeks. She got a Caesarean and is doing well and being monitored. The babies are doing well too. Baby a is 18 ” and 5 pounds 2 oz baby b 5 pounds 4 oz and 17 and 1/4 “.

We hope to visit them all very soon. I haven’t even seen pictures of them yet.

Hugs, Deanne

We are so excited, thank you. Yes, it really is a good weight for two of them. The hospital is not allowing anyone to visit the babies while in the hospital because they are considered high risk for being early and needing their lungs to develop more. We are told they’re healthy and will be home in one to two weeks.

Thank you, so much dear Susan. They are on oxygen until their lungs develop a bit more, but we are told they are healthy. The parents haven’t even been able to hold them yet. And no one can come see them in the hospital. The babies will be there one to two weeks they are saying. Chloe will be able to come home after 4 days. I am going to be called Grammer but they’ll probably start out by calling me Gram.

A bit early yes but her bp was too high to continue with the pregnancy, so they had to be born. They will be in an incubator for one to two weeks then be able to go home after they hit certain goals. They just need to have their lungs developed more. Thank you for your well wishes.

Twelve! congratulations! And I do have lots of stories. He was very dedicated to his patients, once spending a month living in the hospital to take care of a woman with a pelvic infection. She survived and had two more babies!
